The Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS), a leading organization in China’s advanced materials field, acknowledges the importance of strengthening the standardization system for cutting-edge products to maintain a competitive edge in international markets. To advance technological progress and the commercialization of research results in the advanced materials sector, C-MRS is establishing and releasing the "Advanced Materials Group Standard System." This system aims to provide scientific guidelines for the application and development of advanced materials, ensuring that technical standards are both advanced and practical. The focus will be on creating a structured and systematic standard system to standardize cutting-edge products and enhance the overall industry level.

The "Advanced Materials Group Standard System" will cover key areas such as the definitions, classifications, performance evaluations, testing methods, and quality control of various advanced materials. It will incorporate both domestic and international best practices to ensure broad applicability. The system's scope includes the application of materials science and technology in advanced materials, processes, and equipment; design, manufacturing, installation, acceptance, and management in materials engineering and product manufacturing; testing methods, quality inspection, and evaluation in the materials field; and related terminology, symbols, information technology, and management techniques. Implementation of this system will regulate industry practices, significantly improve product quality, and further stimulate innovation in advanced materials technology.

We encourage all relevant organizations, research institutes, and industry research bodies to closely monitor the release of this standard system and make necessary preparations and adjustments. Detailed standard documents and implementation guidelines will be published through the society’s official channels and the "Materials Powerhouse" section on Xinhuanet, providing extensive support and assurance for the development of China’s advanced materials industry.
