Notice on Soliciting the First Batch of Group Standard Projects for 2024

To all members:

The Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS) is a national first-level society in the field of advanced materials, spanning interdisciplinary, cross-sector, and cross-industry boundaries. It is the core society of the International Materials Research Society Alliance. The society includes the China Advanced Materials Industry Association, the Advanced Materials Development Strategic Research Institute, and the "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Organization for Advanced Materials. With nearly 120,000 registered members (including 238 academicians), consisting of renowned experts, scholars, industry professionals, and strategic developers engaged in materials science research, industrialization, and application across various disciplines, fields, and industries in higher education institutions, research institutes, enterprises, and overseas organizations, the society has a rich, professional, and comprehensive team of experts in group standard formulation. It accepts project proposals for group standards related to all disciplines in the field of advanced materials and is the most authoritative social organization for formulating group standards in China's advanced materials field. Additionally, the China Materials Research Society has established deep cooperation with the European Materials Research Society, providing international support and references for group standard formulation. The society has also established a group standard library for advanced materials to widely publicize and promote the application of published group standards.

The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Principles of Application:

  (1) Adhere to the principles of openness, fairness, impartiality, and compliance with relevant national laws, regulations, and group standard formulation rules.

  (2) Based on the needs of the advanced materials industry and industrial development, focus on improving the standardization level to promote the standardized development of the industry.

  (3) Adapt to the innovative development needs of market entities, focus on the characteristics of new technologies in the advanced materials industry, and orient towards technical innovation and market service, emphasizing the originality of new material technologies.

  (4) Applications for group standards should be based on sufficient preliminary research, and the main technical indicators and standard contents should be scientifically reasonable.

  (5) The applying units should voluntarily participate in the formulation of this group standard and possess the necessary technical, financial, equipment, and personnel conditions.

2. Application Procedure:

(1) The applying organization must submit a project proposal for developing or revising group standards to the Standard Certification Committee of the Chinese Materials Research Society by May 31, 2024. Applications can be sent directly via email to the Standard Certification Committee.

(2) Upon receiving the project proposal, the Standard Certification Committee will organize a group of industry experts to form a review panel to evaluate the proposal based on the application details. If the proposal passes the review, the project will be approved, an official project initiation document will be issued, and the information will be published on the National Group Standards Information Platform website (www.ttbz.org.cn).

(3) After the project is approved, the applying organization will form a drafting group and proceed with the development of the group standards according to the "Management Measures for Group Standards of the Chinese Materials Research Society."
